What is LiteSpeed?
LiteSpeed Web Server is the web server that delivers your pages to visitors. It is a modern alternative to Apache: it understands the same configuration (.htaccess, mod_rewrite, mod_security) but serves far more visitors with less CPU and memory thanks to its event-driven architecture.
Its big advantage is LSCache, a cache built into the server itself and controlled through plugins for WordPress, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento, Joomla or Drupal. Pages are served already generated, without running PHP on every visit, which shows in loading speed and Core Web Vitals.

How to set up LiteSpeed Cache on WordPress
On our hosting, enabling LiteSpeed caching takes five minutes:
- 1. Install the plugin
In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New, search for “LiteSpeed Cache”, install and activate it. It is free.
- 2. Enable caching
In LiteSpeed Cache > Cache, make sure caching is on. Your pages are now served by the server without running PHP.
- 3. Optimise carefully
CSS and JavaScript minification and combination improve speed, but enable them one at a time and check your website after each change.
- 4. Images and testing
Enable image lazy loading and, if you like, WebP conversion. Then measure speed with PageSpeed Insights. If you get stuck, we will help.
